12-week course: £140

course starts week commencing 16th September.

Our British Sign Language course uses active learning techniques to teach the basics of this useful language. The beginner course starts with basics such and introducing yourself and learning the alphabet. It continues with:

– learning colours
– teaching ways to describe people and objects
– time, numbers and money
– talking about likes and dislikes
– food and drink vocabulary
– asking and answering questions
– learning to express emotions and facial expressions
– learn basic communication.

I have been qualified and teaching BSL for 22 years. I have passed Level 1, 2 and NQV 3 and City & Guilds 730 Parts 1 & 2 including Deaf Awareness certificates. My aim is to teach BSL through fun activities, and for my students to be confident in what they have learnt.
