12-week course: £120

course starts week commencing 14th September 2020.

This is a live, interactive class with a small group (6-12 students). The teacher presents and shares lesson content, then you have the opportunity to practise the language with both the teacher and fellow students in fun ways. Our new British Sign Language course ‘Signing for All’ uses active learning techniques to teach this useful language. The beginner starts with basics such and introducing yourself and learning the alphabet. It continues with:

Live & Transport
Family
Colours
Numbers
Money
Telling the Time
Animals & Objects

Students are encouraged to work together. The teacher will help you learn at your own pace. More advanced students will progress to the elements on the improver syllabus (below) and more.

British Sign Language Teacher

I have been teaching British Sign Language (BSL) for 28 years. My qualified certificates cover part of my teaching are Level 1, 2 & NQV 3, City & Guilds 730 Parts 1 & 2 and including Deaf Awareness. To aim is to teach BSL throughout fun activities, games and understand language. Students will be able to build up their confidence in what they have learnt.
