We are tentatively offering face to face courses, with Covid safe measures and fewer students in class.
Levels
A1 : Beginner – no previous experience of learning Spanish, a complete beginner’s course.
A1.2 : Beginner 2 – have studied a little Spanish before, can conjugate basic verbs in the present tense, form simple sentences and know vocabulary for everyday situations.
A2 : Pre-Intermediate– can conjugate verbs in the present tense, have seen past and future tenses and know enough vocabulary to form sentences and hold a simple conversation
B1 : Intermediate– can conjugate verbs in the present tense, past and future tenses (may need some revision) and know enough vocabulary hold a conversation.
B1 + : Higher-Intermediate– can conjugate verbs in the present tense, past and future tenses and can speak about a variety of topics in Spanish.
B2 + : Advanced– can communicate well about a variety of topics in Spanish. Includes grammatical revision/consolidation and continual vocabulary input.

Topics: Greetings, nationalities, families, professions, numbers/days/months, describing places & people, clothes & shopping, food & restaurants, daily routine.
Grammar: Regular and irregular verbs in the present tense. Simple adjectives & prepositions.
Beginner 2 Download example syllabus
Topics: Describing a room/house, giving directions, free time activities, feelings, likes and dislikes, restaurants, films, body parts.
Grammar: Regular and irregular verbs in the past tense and periphrastic future. Adjectives and adverbs. Indefinite articles. Pronouns.
Pre-Intermediate Download example syllabus
Topics: Giving opinions, accepting and refusing, holidays, work, projects, parties.
Grammar: Present, past and imperfect tenses, personal pronouns, gerunds, future tense.
Intermediate Download example syllabus
Topics: Fashion, environmental issues, news items, memories, lifestyle, nature.
Grammar: Review and revision of all past and future tenses, conditional tenses, subjunctives.
Higher-Intermediate Download example syllabus
Topics: A variety of topical articles and issues to be discussed with emerging language being taught where necessary and grammatical tenses revised.

Our friendly, professional, qualified and experienced teachers aim to make learning Spanish fun. Courses have aims and objectives in place to maximise your learning. Classes are informal and designed to be focused on encouraging you to speak and communicate in Spanish, but all four skills will be practised (reading, listening, speaking and writing). Grammar and vocabulary is taught as a natural part of language progression. Learning takes place by a variety of media including; listening to audio excerpts, watching short video clips, reading stories and articles. You will learn grammar through practice exercises, both written and spoken. You are encouraged to practise by speaking in small groups.
